I bought a bumper pull 14K flatbed tilt and it seems to be built well and priced the same as used 'big name' trailers. I don't know if they have what you are looking for, but at least take a look at Hull Trailers. I assume a master cylinder sits on the hitch somewhere? I like regular ole ratings without them being creative. Most pj trailers I've seen were 10k axles and they get creative on their ratings assuming you put the max on the truck. Texas pride is an hour away and to easy to deal with or else I'd get the loadmax. That trailer will flat out stop when you need to. If ordering, atleast get the 12k axles and if you are comfortable spending the money the elec/hyd brakes are worth every penny. I bought a Texas pride 35+5 tandem 15k axles and elec/hyd disc brakes. ![]() Posted 02:56 (#6300678 - in reply to #6300662) Subject: RE: load max or load trail or pj trailer Think pj does some manufacturing in Mexico also. The man behind Load Trail was either the P or the J in PJ. The Load Trail and PJ manufacturing plants are literally right across the road from each other north of Dallas. I believe the load max designation is for dual tandem trailers and the load trail trailers are everything else. Have hydraulic jacks on all of our trailers, well worth it in my opinion.Įdit to add. The load trail trailers seam a little better built. Have a Load trail tilt lowboy and a Pj of the same build. Have a load max 32' dual tandem with hydraulic tail. ![]() Posted 21:11 (#6300380 - in reply to #6300309) Subject: RE: load max or load trail or pj trailer We have had pj for years and have been very satisfied Posted 21:11 (#6300379 - in reply to #6300309) Subject: RE: load max or load trail or pj trailer For loading hay i would maybe consider a torsion tube as well. If you plan to unhook.hook up often i highly reccomend the hydraulic jacks since it takes about 50 cranks to do it. Load max dont look like too bad a trailer either. We personally use Pj's and are very happy with them. Posted 20:45 (#6300309 - in reply to #6300300) Subject: RE: load max or load trail or pj trailer Anything else to get on one or to look for? I know I want the 10K dexter axles and the fold up ramps so I can haul 30' worth of hay. Didn't know if one or the other was a lighter made deal. In the market for a 30' flatbed gooseneck and looking at a few of these.they all look like the same factory built them? There are actually quite a few local brands that all look just the same as these as well.
